The mission of the Groupe Dion Foundation is to actively combat poverty in all its forms, with a focus on protecting and supporting the well-being of women and children. It provides financial support to high-impact community projects led by local organizations in Abitibi-Témiscamingue. Its efforts aim to improve the living conditions of people facing hardship, right here, in our region.

The Groupe Dion Foundation raises funds through donations from the Group companies, charity events, and vehicle sales at Exo Automobiles. We also have a partnership with the mining company Agnico Eagle, whose contributions are fully reinvested in the communities where it operates.
These funds currently allow us to provide financial support to nonprofit organizations in the Rouyn-Noranda RCM, including Alternative pour Elles and Ressourcerie Bernard-Hamel, to name just a few. These organizations work directly on the ground to turn our vision into action: food assistance, housing, social support, educational projects, and other initiatives aimed at supporting women and children.

In September 2025, Fondation Groupe Dion and Location Dion joined forces to donate $50,000 to Ressourcerie Bernard-Hamel for the purchase of a truck and trailer. This essential support will allow the organization to continue its work in pick-ups, social reintegration, and community outreach.
In December 2024, the Fondation Groupe Dion donated $2,500 in gift cards to Alternative pour Elles, along with $500 worth of food to the Ressourcerie Bernard-Hamel. This support helped ease the burden on those in need during the holiday season.
On September 20, 2024, the Fondation Groupe Dion donated over $46,500 to Alternative pour Elles. This record-setting contribution, raised during Groupe Dion Golf Week, supported their second-stage housing project for women affected by domestic violence.
On September 13, 2023, the Fondation Groupe Dion donated over $15,000 to Alternative pour Elles, nearly triple the amount raised the previous year. The funds, collected during Groupe Dion Golf Week, supported services for women in vulnerable situations.
In December 2022, the Fondation Groupe Dion donated $2,000 in gift cards to the Ressourcerie Bernard-Hamel. These cards were included in Christmas baskets distributed to families in need, helping bring warmth and dignity to the holiday season.
On December 5, 2022, the Fondation Groupe Dion donated $2,000 in gift cards and an additional $2,000 cheque to Alternative pour Elles. This support provided relief to women and children assisted by the organization during this critical time of year.
During the 2022 Groupe Dion Golf Week, the Foundation raised $5,500 for Alternative pour Elles. This donation helped support women in vulnerable situations through personalized assistance and community-based services.
On January 31, 2021, the Fondation Groupe Dion donated $46,000 to La Ressource pour personnes handicapées as part of the Téléthon des personnes handicapées. This contribution helps support individuals living with disabilities across Abitibi-Témiscamingue and Northern Quebec.
