The company is currently seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to support maintenance operations at a mining site located in Nunavut.
🎯 What you'll be doing
- Perform preventive maintenance and develop maintenance procedures for the mining partner’s mobile equipment
- Inspect, check, and service mobile equipment on site
- Diagnose problems and determine the nature of defects
- Prepare detailed repair reports, identifying the causes of breakdowns and the corrective actions taken
- Adjust, repair, and/or replace defective parts
- Test repaired equipment to ensure proper functioning and compliance with requirements
- Comply with all safety standards and follow the mining partner’s processes, quality standards, and operational requirements
🧩 What we're looking for
- Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in Heavy Equipment Mechanics
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position
- Explosives permit (essential asset)
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Bilingual with advanced English skills (required to work in Nunavut, where English is the primary language)
- Experience in the mining sector (major asset)
